About
During a time of mid-life reinvention in 2022, Seth Pepoon was led to pursue his passion—woodworking. He transformed a small barn behind he and his wife’s home into “Papa’s Woodshop.” Seth started this woodshop seeking God, who Seth affectionately refers to as Papa, about what items to make. God directed Seth to look around at what was already on the property, and to make what came to mind. Seth then got to work transforming an old fence on their property into corner shelves and garden terraces.
As Seth shared this new direction with a few friends, one gave him access to a burn pile, and others said he could come get cut down or fallen down trees. Seth then made charcuterie boards, Christmas decorations, incense coasters, planters, wall art, and more. He also used a cedar log from the woods to incorporate into a custom desk that fits into a bay window overlooking the home’s picturesque deck and backyard for Loral, Seth’s wife and an author, to finish her books.
In the early days of Made in Papa’s Woodshop, Seth was also commissioned to make other custom items including a canoe rack, a chainsaw bear, and realtor gifts.
About Seth and Loral
Seth and Loral are a “second-chance couple,” who met in their 40s. When Seth is not woodworking, you will find him sipping a gourmet cup of coffee, working on his novel, or doing publishing work for the couple’s publishing company. Seth previously worked in printing and then moved his way up the ladder during a 24-year stint at a government entity.
Before Loral began pursuing authorship, Loral served as a professional writer, creative director, and managing editor for large corporations, universities, and the parent company of a major publishing house. Loral also owns and operates her own editorial services firm, though which she has edited nearly 100 books since 2015.
Seth and Loral acquired Selah Press Publishing in 2020 to provide individual indie authors with professional editing and publishing services regardless of platform size. Selah Press was founded in 2011 and has published an average of a 10 titles per year.
Loral’s latest collaborative project is serving as an editor for Our Story Magazine, where she also writes a column, “Write to Inspire.” In addition to interesting articles, this ad-free publication also includes original photography, inspirational fiction, poetry, journal prompts, practical life applications, amazing recipes, gift ideas, and more.
In late 2020, the couple was blessed with their own cabin-looking dream home in a quaint town an hour outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Their beloved cat was promoted to Heaven in July 2022, and they miss him dearly. His memory lives on at clivethecat.com and in a book that captures his voice, which will be released by the end of 2022.
