Can a stove cover be used as a cutting board? Stovetop covers should not be used as a cutting board. I use pine for these and stain for color. Cutting boards are usually made from hardwoods with a food safe oil–I have those available too.

How do I care for my stove cover?
Wipe it with a clean soft cloth. Be sure to remove it from the stovetop before turning burners on and do not replace it until it cools completely. Hot temperatures can cause your cover to warp/crack, etc.
